I was in Bukit Bintang today to get some accessories for my new toy (a DSLR- yay!) and also to exchange my Cotton On tee shirt for a larger size.
FYI Cotton On is having their sales right now. My cheap Club-Monaco-knockoff-T-shirt is now half price with the new price reductions, damn! Try going on the weekends, though, as the Pavilion branch was like natural disaster ground zero last Saturday.
Crossing over Jalan Bukit Bintang, I noticed this at the corner of my eye:-
Yup, Hollywood’s favourite T-shirt brand has invaded Bukit Bintang as well. Another look at the shop, as seen from across the street:
Anyway, if it wasn’t for this shop, I wouldn’t even have known of Ed Hardy’s existence in KL. As usual, I did a lil googling myself and found out that they opened their store in Suria KLCC about 8 months ago. Wow, that’s how long it has been since I last stepped into KLCC! That’s probably a crime in some countries..
Honestly speaking, the opening of the Ed Hardy stores in KL isn’t much of a news to me, considering that their LA-style ’street couture’ isn’t exactly up my alley. Neither am I a fan of the label-label yang sewaktu dengannya like Von Dutch, Juicy Couture and every label in Bread and Butter (7FAM, Lucky Brand, True Religion).
That said, I have seen their T-shirts with tattoo graphics on them and I must admit that I quite like them. I doubt I’d get one though, judging from Tongue in Chic’s report from few months ago,
“Ed Hardy doesn’t come cheap, with shirts going around RM700+, leather jackets for RM3,700+ and caps at RM250+.”
This capsule shop is located on the Bukit Bintang side of Lot 10, about 100m from the Lot 10- Sungai Wang pedestrian bridge. As it is not on the main thoroughfare between Sungai Wang and Bintang Walk, it can quite easily be missed out by the hoardes of pedestrians.
So, fat-walleted fans of this Southern Californian brand, you now have 2 outlets in KL to choose from for your rock chic fix.

to me i like to look and admire the art of each detail that was place together. But I think those wearing ed hardy are douch bags. wakakaka
philip: well the motifs are from a real tattoo artiste, so i guess there should be some artistic value in it. I won’t be so harsh in calling all Ed Hardy fans douchebags, depends on how you wear it I guess. If you wear it just because of photos of Rihanna or Beckham wearing it in “Hello!” magazine, then you probably are one. :S
